David Wright
Born 1949 and living in Cannock (Staffordshire,
England. I am a retired teacher of science and have
been fascinated by military history for as long as I
can remember. For over 35 years, my main interest has
been in the Napoleonic era and I have been studying
the Württemberg army for over 20 years, particularly
their role in the 1809 campaign. My first article, on
the battle at Urfahr/Linz, was published in the
magazine Empires, Eagles and Lions in 1987. At
present I am producing material, with computer-drawn
maps, on their other engagements in 1809.
