Vladimir Brnardic was born in Zagreb in 1973. After graduating from the University of Zagreb with a History degree, he trained as a journalist. He works in a Documentary program of Croatian Television and is author of many historical reportages and documentary films. He also writes for a Croatian military magazines. He has a keen interest in the history of Central and Eastern European military organisations in period from 15th till 19th century, but especially during Napoleonic period. In 2004 he wrote a book about it for the Osprey - Napoleonic Balkan Troops."
