Paolo Foramitti was born in Udine in 1957, he got a secondary school diploma in classical studies and he graduated in Political Science. He has always cultivated a passion for history and he has converted it in a profession since 1997. He's the owner of the Edizioni del Confine publishing house and he published a large number of books and essays, principally dedicated to the Napoleonic era in Friuli.
He's an expert on the subject and a research fellow at the University of Udine, he's also a member of the Accademia Udinese di Scienze, Lettere e Arti and of the Deputazione di Storia Patria per il Friuli. Furthermore, he's the Northern Italy delegate for the French cultural association Le Souvenir Napoléonien and called „Délégué pour le Nord Italie du Souvenir Napoléonien“.
