Mark van Hattem
Mark van Hattem, born 1967, lives in Brielle,
Netherlands. He is curator of textiles in the Royal
Netherlands Army- and Arms Museum. A military
historian since 1990, he has published on Dutch
Napoleonic history in several books and magazines. He
was curator of the exhibition 'In the Wake of
Napoleon. The Dutch in time of war 1792-1815'.
Since the late 1990s, he has done research on archduke Johann of Austria (1782-1859). In 2009, his Ph.D. thesis will be finished with the title: 'In the name of a new Austria. Archduke Johann as military reformer and general 1805-1809'. "
